Watersports
Trip cancelled?
The water isn't.
Charter fell through. Boat's on the trailer. Doesn't matter — boards, kayaks, rods and dive kit. Go anyway.
The local's key
Where to point it
Ask at the counter for specifics. Somebody here was out this morning.
- Flats at sunrise. Paddleboard. Glass water before the wind gets up.
- Mangrove tunnels. Kayak. Shade, silence, the occasional manatee.
- The reef. Snorkel or dive. A few miles out and worth every one.
- Bridges and channels. Rod and reel. Fish the tide, not the clock.
- Old Seven Mile Bridge. Bike or board. Two miles out over open water, nothing to hit.
